And The Winner Is ...

In reviewing the many entries and essays that came in for the Laura Bowly Design Free Website Contest, I was inspired and awed by the important work that is being done in our communities. Church groups volunteering to feed and house the homeless; courageous parents raising money for the families of pediatric cancer patients, having suffered the loss of their own daughter; small business owners working together to create a thriving local economy, and so many more worthy organizations.

I feel a profound sense of gratitude to everyone who shared their stories with me and truly wish I could award a free custom website to everyone. Ultimately, I had to choose only one. One organization received nearly a dozen individual entries. The outpouring of support for this group was truly impressive.

I am pleased to announce that this year, I am awarding the free Custom Content Management Website to the Calaveras Humane Society (CHS). This non-profit organization is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and relies entirely on donations to support the many valuable programs they offer Calaveras County residents. It is truly a labor of love.

CHS and I will kick off this project in January and I am excited to have the opportunity to enhance CHS's ability to reach a broader audience and make an even greater impact on their community.

I would like to thank everyone who entered this contest for taking the time to introduce me to the incredible work going on in our communities! Again, it was truly inspiring!

Sincerely,
