What an honor to have been chosen to design the Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway site. Having roamed these mountains for much of my life, it was a very satisfying project. The Byway Association had stellar logos in place and we decided early on to try to make the site feel like a road trip. The subtle use of Flash on the all the secondary pages gives that snap-shot feel to add to the theme. The colors and layout are simple, designed to 'frame' the image content, since that is a substantial draw. Using a drop-down menu, allowed us to keep that clean design, without cluttering the page with navigation. Hopefully, the site makes you want to see Ebbetts Pass for yourself!
